11/08 - Miss International 2008 is Miss Spain, Alejandra Andreu
 The newly crowned Miss International 2008 is 18 year old Alejandra Andreu from Zaragoza, Spain. She stands 173 cm tall.
Alejandra won the 3rd Miss International crown for her country.
Complete Results : Colombia, Maria Cristina Diaz Granados (1st runner up), Poland, Anna Tarnowska (2nd runner up), China, Chang Wen Liu (3rd runner up), Czech Republic, Zuzana Putnarova (4th runner up).
Semi-finalists : Ecuador, Japan, Lebanon, Philippines,
Puerto Rico, Turkey and Venezuela
Special Awards : Miss Photogenic (Spain), Best in National Costume (Aruba), Miss Natural Beauty (Belarus), and Miss Friendship (El Salvador)

11/07 - Who will be the next Miss International?
The 48th Miss International beauty pageant will be held at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, in Macau on November 8, 2008. 63 contestants are competing for the prestigious title held last year by Priscila Perales from Mexico.
Some interesting tidbits on this year's pageant :
Returning countries and territories this year are : Italy last competed in 1994, Belgium last competed in 1996, Hawaii and Zambia last competed in 2004, Bahamas, Macau and Sweden last competed 2005 and Norway last competed in 2006.
Withdraws : Armenia, Chile, Costa Rica, Egypt, Honduras and Nigeria competed last year but failed to compete this year.
