May 26, 2008 - Kavintra Phothijak, 22 years old, stands 175cm was crowned Miss Thailand Universe 2008.

The pageant was held last May 24th at Aksara Theater, King Power Complex in Bangkok. Telecast of the pageant was aired live on BBTV Channel 7.

The 1st runner-up (Miss Thailand - Earth 2008) was 19 year old Piyaporn Deejing.

Kavintra will represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2008 and Piyaporn at Miss Earth 2008.
