June 5, 2008 - Newly crowned Miss International Panama 2008 is Alejandra Arias, a 20 year old student of Global Business. The national pageant was held on June 5th at the Panama Hotel.

Arias also won the Miss Photogenic and Best Catwalk awards. She stands 1.76 m tall and will represent Panama at the Miss International 2008 pageant in Macau this coming October.

The 1st runner-up was Shassia Ubillus; 2nd runner-up, Vilma Tuñón; 3rd runner-up, Vanessa Wachter; and 4th runner-up, Mares Bernal.

This is the 5th anniversary of the annual pageant which is organized by Tania Hyman's Models and Talents.
