June 17, 2008 - Diana Flores, 18 years old was crowned Miss Dominican Republic Earth 2008. She beat 31 other contestants during the finals night held at the Fiesta Renaissance Jaragua Hotel & Casino last June 17, 2008.

Diana will represent Dominican Republic in Miss Earth 2008 pageant in November.

Julian Espinal was crowned Miss Eco-Turismo Dominican Republic 2008. The runners-up are Jeolenny Capella, Nayelis Garcia, Esmirna Lasencia, and Michel Alvarado.

Special award winners are Marieli Sanches (Miss Culture), Evelin Periel (Miss Photogenic), Annet De la Cruz (Miss Internet), and Fatima Reyes (Miss Friendship).

Miss Earth - Air 2005, Amell Santana was one of the judges during the pageant night.
