January 17, 2009 - Christine Kuo, 25, from Toronto, has won Miss Chinese International 2009. The first runner up was Skye Chan from Hong Kong followed by 2nd runner up Cici Chen from Vancouver.

Completing the top 5 were Ni Jiang, Miss Seattle and Julie Lam, Miss Europe.

Other finalists were Yenyi Lee (Auckland), Yiyun Dong (Beijing), Xiaoling Han (Zhengzhou).

Special Awards : Miss Friendship went to Skye Chan (Hong Kong); Miss Young went to Julie Lam (Europe); Oriental Charm Ambassador Award went to Cici Chen (Vancouver); and the International Charm Ambassador Award went to Christine Kuo (Toronto).

The pageant was held in Foshan, China last Saturday, January 17th.

The contestants in this pageant are women born in China or of Chinese descent living abroad and selected through local pageants. 28 contestants participated in the 21st edition of the contest.
