February 18, 2009 - Reigning Miss Universe 2008 from Venezuela Dayana Mendoza arrived in Kiev, Ukraine on February 18th.

She was invited by former Miss Ukraine Oleksandra Nikolayenko who is also the current National Director for the Miss Ukraine pageant scheduled on February 20th.

They have visited an orphanage in Kiev, together with Miss Ukraine 2008 Eleonora Masalab.

Miss Ukraine 2009 finals night will be held on February 20th. The winner will compete in Miss Universe 2009 pageant.
