February 20, 2009 - Kristina Koz-Gotlib, 25 year old, was crowned Miss Ukraine Universe 2009 on Friday, February 20th. She was crowned by the reigning Miss Universe from Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza.

The pageant was held at the Freedom Casino in Kiev, Ukraine.

Kristina will represent Ukraine in the Miss Universe 2009 pageant to be held probably in July or August this year. The venue will be announced soon by the MUO.

Oleksandra Nikolayenko - Ruffin, former Miss Ukraine 2001, is currently the national director of the Miss Ukraine Universe pageant.
