March 02, 2009 - Helsinki, Finland - Essi Pöysti, 21 year old, was crowned Miss Suomi 2009 (Miss Finland Universe 2009).

Essi stands 1.74 m tall and will represent Finland in Miss Universe 2009 pageant which according to the some reports will be held in the Bahamas sometime in August.

1st runner-up was Elsi Suolanen, 19 year old.

2nd runner-up was Linda Wikstedt, also 19 year old, who represented Finland in Miss World 2008 pageant in South Africa in December last year.
